Saharanpur , In village Haroda of Gagalhedi area, due to a land dispute going on between two parties for years, one party attacked the other party working in the field and two youths opened fire. On hearing the gunshot, seeing the farmers working in the field coming towards them, the attackers fled after throwing the pistol in the pond near the field. Police reached the spot on information and while searching for the attackers, recovered a 315 bore pistol with the help of villagers from the pistol thrown in the pond. Police has registered a case under the relevant sections and started searching for the attackers. According to the information, there is a land dispute going on for about 15 years between Salim son of Safi, resident of village Haroda and Shahbaz son of Ikhlaq of the village, which is pending in the honorable court. In the morning, Salim and his son Ali Sher were harvesting wheat by putting a machine in the field. During this time, Shahbaz and Uvesh, son of Israr, both reached the field and abused Salim and asked him to stop the machine. When he opposed them, they started firing at him with country-made pistols. Salim and his son Ali Sher hid behind the machine. On hearing the gunshot, the villagers working in the nearby fields ran towards the spot. Seeing the villagers coming towards them, both the attackers fled by throwing the pistols in the pond near the field. Salim immediately informed the police about the incident and the police reached the spot and recovered a pistol of 315 bore with the help of the villagers. CO Sadar Ruchi Gupta said that there was a land dispute between two parties in village Haroda, due to which two persons of one party attacked the other party working in the field by firing bullets. Thankfully, there was no loss of life. Further action is being taken by investigating the matter and registering a case under the relevant sections.
