Lalbarra, Balaghat Superintendent of Police Mr. Nagendra Singh has directed the station in-charges to take action by running a special campaign against those who trade in illegal drugs and illegal liquor. In compliance with the said instructions, under the guidance of Additional Superintendent of Police Balaghat Mr. Vijay Dawar and Sub-Divisional Officer of Police Waraseoni Mr. Abhishek Chaudhary, Lalbarra Police Station has succeeded in duly arresting a person who trades in illegal liquor.

On 14.09.24, Lalbarra Police Station received information from a reliable informer during village patrol that Ashok Pancheshwar of village Salebari is going towards Ghatolgaon in his motorcycle with the intention of selling a large amount of illegal raw liquor. On the informer's information, the police team of Station In-charge SI Hemant Nayak immediately blocked the possible routes and took the accused Ashok Pancheshwar into custody. A total of 60 liters of raw Mahua liquor filled in 04 plastic cans of 15 liters each and the motorcycle used in the incident was seized from the accused. The accused was duly arrested after he admitted to making illegal raw liquor in the forest for the purpose of selling it himself. The accused has been produced before the Hon'ble Court. The accused has been sent to jail by the Hon'ble Court.
