Motihari, Motihari Police, SOG and STF jointly took action and arrested the lady don from Gaya railway station. The government had announced a bounty of 50 thousand on the arrested lady don. More than a dozen criminal cases including murder and attempt to murder are registered against the arrested lady don. The arrested woman is said to be associated with a banned organization.

SP Swarn Prabhat said that Motihari police has arrested a criminal with a bounty of 50 thousand in a murder and robbery case from Gaya railway station. Dozens of serious cases are registered against the woman criminal. She was associated with a banned organization called Azad Hind Fauj. She was jointly arrested from Gaya railway station by Patahi police station in-charge Kailash Kumar, sub-inspector Sanjay Kumar along with Patahi police station's police force SOG-8 and STF under the leadership of Pakri Dayal SDPO Subodh Kumar. She was hiding in Art of Living in the guise of a sadhvi to escape from the police.

It is said that after the murder of her husband, the fear of Rita Singh increased so much that people used to call her Lady Don. She is the wife of the famous Mukhiya Late Jitendra Singh of Vetouna of Patahi block. Jitendra Singh was brutally murdered by Naxalites in the year 2005. After the murder of her husband, due to many reasons, she became associated with a banned organization. After the year 2011, she was involved in more than eight criminal incidents, including demanding extortion by throwing pamphlets/shooting bullets from construction companies and brick kiln operators, during which she has a role in serious crimes like murder/robbery/Arms Act.

Jitendra Singh was the famous Mukhiya of Vetouna of Patahi police station area. Many criminal cases were registered against him and he was on the target of Naxalites due to enmity with Naxalites. Jitendra Singh was murdered by Naxalites in the year 2005, after which Rita Singh left the village and joined the banned organization. Many criminal cases started being registered against her. The police has put a reward of 50 thousand for the arrest of this woman who has become a headache for the police.

Cases registered against Rita Singh are 95/13 for attempt to murder in Pakdi Dayal police station, 65/15 for robbery and extortion in Fenhara police station, 42/14 for robbery and illegal activities in Patahi police station and 80/15 for illegal activities, 117/13 for murder, 49/14 for extortion and 285/14 for extortion in Madhuban police station. To escape from police custody, she joined Sri Sri Ravi Shankar Art of Living so that no one suspects her. As a Sadhvi, she went to many jails in Bihar/Jharkhand/Karnataka and started giving training in Art of Living to prisoners. To escape from the police, she had disguised herself as a Sadhvi.
