Katni, instructions have been given to conduct Ganesh immersion procession peacefully and to identify the persons who spread chaos during the procession and take strict legal action against them.

In compliance with which all the preparations were completed for the peaceful conduct of Ganesh immersion procession organized by police station in-charge Kotwali Inspector Ashish Kumar Sharma. Police station in-charge Inspector Ashish Kumar Sharma, while successfully conducting the procession, continuously walked from the front to the back of the procession with his team and established coordination with the members of the committee and advised them to do the immersion on time. Also, the suspects were stopped and checked.

03 accused Sohail Ahmed resident who tried to affect the peace by spreading chaos during the procession itself. Roshan Nagar, Bholu Barman and Anil Kewat, both residents of Tilak College, NKJ Katni were arrested and action was taken against them under 170 BNS and 126, 135 BNSS. Meanwhile, information was received from an informer that a 20-22 year old boy is carrying a buttoned knife and is planning to commit a stabbing incident in the procession. On receiving the information, a search was immediately launched for a boy matching the description given by the informer, who fled from the procession towards Chowpatty after being caught by the police. He was surrounded and caught by the police staff. 01 iron buttoned knife was seized from his possession. The arrested accused Deepak Singh alias Chhotu Thakur, son of Indrajit Singh, age 19 years, is a resident of Jaihind Chowk Jharra Tikuria, Katni. When the accused was found to have committed an act under Section 25 of the Arms Act, a case number 582/24 under Section 25 of the Arms Act was registered at the Kotwali police station. Cases of stabbing have been registered against the accused in Ranganathnagar police station in the past. The accused has been arrested and presented before the honourable court.

Due to the alertness of the Kotwali police station, the processions of Eid Miladunnabi, Vishwakarma Jayanti and Ganesh Visarjan were conducted peacefully without any interruption. For which the members of the Ganesh committee have expressed their gratitude to the police department.
