Katni, In Madhya Pradesh, while the administration is vigorously following the code of conduct for the assembly elections, the police are also seen making check points at various places and checking the vehicles.
On the guidance of SP Abhijeet Ranjan of Katni district, check points have been made at various places by the Kotwali TI, on which today the Kotwali police has got success and Rs 1 lakh 21 thousand in cash has been recovered from the tax of a youth from Jharkhand. But in case of not giving any kind of satisfactory answer, the cash amount has been confiscated and is being investigated. Police is constantly on alert at every check point and similarly vehicles are being checked because more than 49000 people have been booked on the election code of conduct. You cannot take cash anywhere, if you are carrying it then you will have to show the answer, but if the data is not available, the police will confiscate the money and action is being taken.
While giving information through Kotwali TI Ashish Sharma, it was said that a vehicle was stopped at the check point in which a young man from Jharkhand was traveling and on checking, Rs 1 lakh 1 21000 cash was recovered from the bank. On enquiry, no satisfactory answer was given. Not given, on which confiscation action has been taken and the rules of the Election Commission are being followed.
