Shivpuri, Shivpuri Police is continuously taking action against illegal liquor. In this episode, Khaniyadhana Police Station Incharge Suresh Sharma received information from an informer that Kanjar people are illegally unloading liquor in the well of Kanjar Dera Soni, Achrauni and large quantities of liquor are kept for illegal sale. On receiving the information, the police raided the well of Achrauni Kanjar Dera Soni, then the accused Cigarati son of Nathu Kanjar fled from the spot taking advantage of the bushes. On the spot, the police seized a furnace from which liquor was being unloaded, an illegal liquor making factory, two plastic cans filled with 70 liters of raw liquor made from hand furnace, as well as two blue drums filled with 400 liters of jaggery were destroyed on the spot. In the said action, a large lid of aluminum and an iron furnace for making liquor, goods worth Rs 1 lakh in total, were seized and a case was registered against the accused under the Excise Act and the police started searching for the absconding accused.
