Ken-Betwa Link Project Review Meeting concluded, important guidelines given
266 villages of Hata and Patera will be benefited from Ken-Betwa Link Project

Damoh, A review meeting of Ken-Betwa Link Project was held in the Collectorate hall under the chairmanship of Damoh MP Rahul Singh. The MP said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to make the resolution that Atal Bihari Vajpayee had taken regarding the river linking campaign a reality. The foundation stone of the Ken Betwa Link Project is going to be laid on December 25, it will make our entire Bundelkhand economically prosperous. The Prime Minister is arriving in Khajuraho on December 25, people here will reach Khajuraho in an orderly manner and they should return in an orderly manner. On this occasion, former minister and Damoh MLA Jayant Kumar Malaiya, Backward Class Commission Chairman Dr. Ramkrishna Kusmaria, District Panchayat Chairman Ranjita Gaurav Patel, BJP District President Pritam Singh Lodhi, In-charge Collector and CEO District Panchayat Arpit Verma were specially present.
MP Shri Lodhi said that 266 villages of Hata and Patera Mandal of Damoh district are included, farming was not possible on the land of Bundelkhand because there was no water, when this project will be completed and water will reach, then more economic prosperity will come to Bundelkhand than Punjab and Haryana.
Former Finance Minister and Damoh MLA Jayant Kumar Malaiya said that earlier 07.50 lakh hectare area used to be irrigated in the state, after the BJP government came to power in the state, now 45 lakh hectare area is being irrigated and now the target is to increase it to one crore hectare, the government is working fast in this direction. Dr. Ramkrishna Kusmaria, Chairman of Madhya Pradesh Backward Class Commission said that many farmers will be benefited from the Ken-Betwa Link Project, people will get full benefit of it, the problem of drinking water will be solved. This scheme will make our entire Bundelkhand full of water.
On this occasion, in-charge Collector and CEO District Panchayat Arpit Verma gave information and said that under this project, 266 villages of Hata and Patera of the district will be benefited.
