Damoh, with the aim of celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi, Paryushan, Eid Milad-un-Nabi, Shraddha Paksha, Navratri festivals in the district, Collector Sudhir Kumar Kochar visited the city today along with Superintendent of Police Shrutkirti Somvanshi and inspected the arrangements. Keeping in view the Ganesh Visarjan, Paryushan festival and Eid Milad-un-Nabi and Shraddha Paksha festivals, he inspected the Futera pond, Puraina pond, Belatal, Mukesh Colony pond of the city and along with ensuring cleanliness of the ghats of the pond on the occasion of idol immersion and Shraddha Paksha and ensuring barricades, boats, divers and police arrangements, he also inspected the route of the procession from Chaman Tiraha to Pathani Mohalla through various routes of the city and gave instructions to the concerned officials. The Collector and Superintendent of Police also inspected the Ganesh Visarjan route and the procession route on the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi festival. On this occasion, Additional SP Sandeep Mishra, SDM RL Bagri, CSP Abhishek Tiwari, Chief Municipal Officer Ritu Purohit, TI Anand Singh Thakur, Traffic Subedar Dalbir Singh Marco and officials of other departments were present. On this occasion, Collector Sudhir Kumar Kochar said that the festival season is near, Anant Chaturdashi, Paryushan festival, Milad-un-Nabi, all these festivals will come consecutively on 15th, 16th and 17th, the next day itself Shradh Paksha will also start. In this regard, an inspection has been done with SP sahab, SDM, CSP and all other teams, which includes inspection of ponds, inspection of all the routes through which the processions will pass. Necessary guidelines have been given to the concerned officers for this.

Superintendent of Police Shrutkirti Somvanshi said that Collector sahab has given instructions for whatever barricading is there in all these things, whether it needs to be fixed through PWD or there is a provision of CCTV cameras somewhere. Various places in the city have been inspected regarding the festivals, in which the most important topic was the security arrangements to be made at the ghats, what security should be put in place at the time of immersion, the whole purpose of immersion, how many facilities can be provided to them. The focus will be on the fact that the entire program should be completed without any accident. All these subjects have been discussed and what arrangements are to be made in all the major ponds of the city, how people will immerse the idols, have been looked into. Apart from this, what separate arrangements are to be made for the festivals coming in the coming days, what facilities are to be provided, all these have been discussed.

He told that full preparations have been made from our side to make security arrangements. We have visited in this regard. For security, some force has been demanded from IG Zone and some from PHQ as well, apart from that, special police officers are used during elections, such as forest guards, excise, Kotwars and all other government employees are given the status of special police officers and made to do duty, full efforts are also being made to include them in this and make the security system stronger.
