Katni, Katni Superintendent of Police is continuously running a campaign to curb the sale of illegal drugs. In this sequence, NKJ police station in-charge Neeraj Pandey took swift action against illegal liquor sale going on behind Kamal Hotel. NKJ police station had also taken action against liquor sale a few days ago and shut down the liquor shops. After getting the information, media personnel also reached the spot. Seeing the media personnel, all the employees left the shop and ran away. Police reached on the information of the media and called the liquor sale employees and got the lock opened. Let us tell you that illegal liquor sale was going on behind Kamal Hotel in NKJ for the last few days. The residents of the area had also informed the NKJ police station about this. After the police did not take any action, the local people informed the media personnel about the problem. On Wednesday when media personnel reached Pekari, on seeing them the employees locked the door from outside and ran away. Media informed about this to NKJ police station. On receiving the information when police reached the spot the door was found locked. Police called the Pekari employee and got the lock opened. Police seized the liquor kept in cartons and beer bottles kept in the fridge and made a seizure. NKJ police has registered a crime in this case.
