Katni, Katni police said that on January 16, information was received in Vijayraghavgarh police station that the body of an unknown man was found lying dead on the ridge of village Banjari forest area. The name of the deceased person was Ramakant Patel, resident of Satna district and he had reached Devsari Indore of Katni district on January 15 to pick up his wife Rakhi Patel but his wife refused to come with him due to which he went back to his in-laws house on his bike and the next day. On January 16, the dead body of Ramakant Patel was found on the ridge of village Banjari forest area in Vijayraghavgarh police station area. On receiving information, Vijayraghavgarh police station in-charge along with his team reached the spot and started investigation. Since the case was suspicious, F was sent to search for the unknown deceased and unknown accused. S. l. Team Jabalpur and team of Finger Print, Dog Scat Katni were called to the spot. And he himself along with his team started interrogating the nearby people by showing the photograph of the dead body to the passersby passing by to identify the unknown man. After a lot of efforts, people passing through that route were stopped and asked to identify the deceased, who on seeing the body identified him as Ramakant Patel, father Krishna Kumar, aged about 23 years, resident of village Dhanwahi police station Badera district Satna. The family members of the deceased were informed through those identifiers and the family members of the deceased and Dr. Neeta Jain FS were present at the incident site. l. Officer Jabalpur and the team of Finger Print and Dog Scat Katni also reached the spot. As soon as the family members of the deceased saw the body, he was identified as Ramakant Patel. During the investigation, the police came to know that the deceased Ramakant Patel died due to strangulation. The police registered a case of murder and started investigation, and the family members of the deceased were interrogated. It was told by the family members of the deceased that on 01 May 2023, Rakhi Patel, resident of Devsari, Indore, was married to Ramakant Patel as per Hindu customs, and she went to her maternal home about 15 days after the marriage. In between it has been there only two-three times for two-three days.
Due to their poor coordination, she was living in her maternal home and on 15th January, Ramakant Patel went alone in his Hero Spender Plus motor cycle from village Dhanwahi Dhana, Badera district Maihar (Satna) to meet his wife Rakhi at her in-laws village Devsari, Indore Dhana. Kshetra had left home asking to go to Vijayraghavgarh, but did not reach his in-laws' house in Devsari Indore nor did he return to his home in Dhanwahi. Who named his wife Rakhi as a suspect in the murder of the deceased. Apart from this, the family members were not able to give any other factual information to the police. Due to which it became even more difficult to trace the accused who murdered the deceased. Then, on the instructions of Superintendent of Police, Katni, three police teams were prepared by the station in-charge Vijayraghavgarh. In which police technical teams strengthened the informer system and started interrogating the suspects separately. In which suspects Rajkumar Patel, Vinay Padav, Rakhi Patel tried hard to mislead the police. When their statements were verified, differences were found in their statements. When the police tried to strictly interrogate all three of them separately, they narrated the events of the murder of deceased Ramakant and said that Ramakant Patel and Rakhi were married on May 1, 2023, and her husband used to beat and torture her. Due to which she had come to her maternal home. She has gone once or twice in between, but due to differences between the two, she was staying at her maternal home in Devsari Indore. About a week before the incident, Ramakant had started talking to his wife Rakhi on mobile. When Rakhi did not talk to her husband Ramakant on mobile, he used to talk to Rakhi's brother Rajkumar alias Raja and tried to get Rakhi to talk to him. Either he would ask for it or the prince would also make him talk. On 14th January, when Ramakant and Rajkumar alias Raja had a conversation, Ramakant said that he is coming to Vijayraghavgarh tomorrow to meet Rakhi, then Rakhi told her lover Vinay Yadav that she does not want to go to her in-laws. Anyhow, if he comes to pick me up tomorrow, kill him and both of them hatched a conspiracy to murder him and in this conspiracy, Muh Bole Bhai Rajkumar alias Raja Patel was included and as soon as Ramakant came to Vijayraghavgarh alone in a motor cycle, he accompanied him to the spot of incident. But Rakhi's husband Ramakant and lover Vinay Yadav both drank alcohol and in the evening, when Ramakant sat on his motorcycle to go to Devsari Indore insisting on meeting his wife, Vinay Yadav, in a pre-planned manner, punched him in the mouth. The ring worn on his finger hit him in the eye, due to which he pulled the earring around his neck with force with the intention of killing him, due to which he fell on the ground and the prince caught hold of both his hands. So Vinay Yadav killed him by hitting him on the chest and stomach with the shoes he was wearing and started taking away his motorcycle and mobile but since the motorcycle was not running, he parked it on the side of the road in front of the bridge and took a lift from another vehicle. Came to Bajari Masjid and from there took a lift in other vehicles while going to his home in Devsaridur, broke the mobile phone of the deceased and threw it in the river falling in the middle. Vijayraghavgarh police station has succeeded in uncovering the blind murder by arresting all three accused. The arrested accused are being presented in the Honorable Court Vijayraghavgarh.
