Katni, Madhya Pradesh's Katni GRP Railway Police raided platform number 5 of the main railway station on the information of informers and arrested two youths for smuggling banned ganja. Separately, 20 kg ganja worth Rs 4 lakh has been recovered from the possession of both of them.

In this entire matter, Katni GRP Rail GRP station in-charge Aruna Bahane said that information was received from the informers that two bald youths were standing at the Jabalpur end of platform number 5 with a quantity of ganja in their bags. On receiving the information from the informers, GRP Railway Police immediately reached the spot and found two youths in a suspicious condition. After arresting them, their bag was searched and it was found to be filled with about 20 kg of illegal ganja. When the GRP police interrogated both the youth strictly, the arrested youth told that they are residents of village Sursen under Sarghua police station of Chitrakoot district of Uttar Pradesh. The names of the arrested accused were Tikku alias Avneesh and resident of Kashai under Karvi police station of Chitrakoot. Monu alias Ramakant. GRP station in-charge Aruna Bahane said that 20 kg of ganja worth Rs 4 lakh has been separately recovered from the bags of both the youths. Action has been taken against both of them under the section of Narcotics Act. Both the arrested youths were carrying illegal ganja from Raipur to Chitrakoot.
