A video journalist was killed when a speeding car hit his motorcycle in Chennai on Tuesday (November 20) night. The victim was identified as Pradeep Kumar of Pondy Bazaar, who was a cameraperson with a popular Telugu news channel and worked as a part-time Rapido driver in the city.

Kumar died when a speeding BMW car hit his motorcycle on the Maduravoyal-Tambaram elevated bypass. After the accident, the car driver abandoned the vehicle and fled.

Body found 100 metres away
Passengers reported the accident to the police after seeing the abandoned vehicle. Later the police reached the spot and recovered the damaged two-wheeler. Kumar's death was confirmed only when his body was found 100 metres away from the accident spot.

His body was found when the police tried to trace the sequence of events and his body was found at a lower level about 100 metres away from the accident spot. According to the police, the collision caused Kumar to fall off the elevated highway from his vehicle, leading to his death. The police are searching for the missing luxury car driver and further investigation is underway.
