Patna, JDU national spokesperson Rajiv Ranjan has said that confusion is being spread about Manipur, support to the NDA government there will continue, Manipur JDU president has been removed on charges of indiscipline. JDU national spokesperson Rajiv Ranjan Prasad said, "This is misleading and baseless. The party has taken cognizance of this and the party's Manipur unit president has been relieved from his post. We have supported NDA and our support will continue."

He further said that the NDA government will continue in Manipur. The Manipur unit did not communicate with the central leadership, he (Manipur JDU chief) wrote the letter on his own will, action has been taken against him for indiscipline and he has been removed from the post... We are with the NDA and the state unit will continue to serve the people of Manipur for the development of the state.''

A letter caused a stir

After the letter of JDU withdrawing support from the NDA government in Manipur was issued, there was a political stir from Delhi to Patna. Somehow the situation was handled in a hurry and action was taken against Manipur JDU President Biren Singh and he was removed from his post. It was his mistake that he had issued his letter claiming that JDU has separated from the NDA.

After this, JDU's national spokesperson Rajiv Ranjan Prasad called this letter wrong and said that the party is still with the NDA. The NDA government will continue in Manipur. He said that the JDU leader from Manipur had committed this indiscipline and hence he was removed from his post. Rajiv Ranjan said that he had written this letter without talking to the central leadership.
