Saran, Saran police's exploits have once again tarnished the uniform. Although when a police uniform is worn, an oath is taken that the uniform will not be stained in any way, but when you wear the same uniform and show your power, you do not protect the public but collect bribe from the same, then it is inevitable that the uniform will be stained. A similar case has come from Manjhi police station of Saran district, where a trainee police sub-inspector and an assistant sub-inspector have been accused of illegally beating up three youths and forcibly collecting a huge amount from them. In connection with the incident, Saran Superintendent of Police Dr. Kumar Ashish has taken major action in the case of police officers posted in Manjhi police station, who had gone to raid liquor in Marha village of the local Manjhi police station area, allegedly brutally beating up three youths of Kopa police station area and illegally collecting about 21 thousand rupees from them.

Regarding the incident, Superintendent of Police of Saran, Dr. Kumar Ashish said that accused ASI Pappu Kumar Singh posted in Manjhi police station is being questioned after being taken into custody. On hearing the news of his colleague being taken into custody, trainee sub-inspector of police Om Prakash Sah posted in Manjhi police station ran away from the police station premises without slippers. Although later he was chased by the police personnel, but he managed to escape taking advantage of the darkness. The incident of the said police officer running away happened when many other police officers including Sadar Sub-Divisional Police Officer Raj Kishore Singh were present in the police station premises.

On the instructions of Superintendent of Police of Saran, Dr. Kumar Ashish, SDPO Sadar Raj Kishore Singh, who arrived to investigate the matter, reached the spot of the incident and after thoroughly investigating the complaint of the victim youths, has informed the Superintendent of Police of Saran about the matter. Only after this, ASI Pappu Kumar Singh has been taken into custody on the instructions of the SP. Trainee inspector Om Prakash Sah escaped from there barefoot after getting the chance. Sadar SDPO Raj Kishore Singh remained present in Manjhi police station till late night. Taking the matter seriously, the police department of the local Manjhi police station is fully alert. The gate at the entrance of Manjhi police station has been locked, while the Sadar SDPO and the senior and junior police officers of the police station are waiting inside for the next order of their superior officer i.e. the Superintendent of Police or for him to reach Manjhi.
