Maihar, June 17, 2024/Collector Maihar Rani Batad reviewed the drinking water related works going on in the district by holding a meeting of the officials of Jal Jeevan Nigam in the Collectorate Auditorium Maihar on Monday. In the meeting, the Collector took information from the officials of Jal Jeevan Nigam regarding the damaged pipeline. Jal Jeevan Nigam officials said that apart from Jal Jeevan Nigam, development works are also being done by other government departments in the area. During the excavation work by various departments, the underground pipeline laid by Jal Jeevan Nigam is damaged. Due to which the work of laying the pipeline is getting hampered. On this, Collector Mrs. Batad said that all the departments should work in mutual coordination. The loss incurred by both the departments should be rectified by mutual agreement. The Collector said that due to not sharing the map and plan of the pipeline being laid by Jal Jeevan Nigam with the concerned departments, the situation of pipeline damage is being created again and again. Jal Nigam was instructed to share the map and plan with the concerned department. He directed the officials of Jal Nigam to get the roads damaged during laying the pipeline repaired. Also, the pipeline should be laid at a distance of at least 20 to 25 meters from the water body dam and pond. Officials of Jal Jeevan Nigam, BSNL, PWD, District Panchayat, NHI, MPRDC and L&T Company were present in the meeting.
