Damoh, Jabalpur Naka Chowki Incharge Anand Ahirwar of the district has been honored with the Samvidhan Gaurav Samman in view of his dedication, courageous work and dedication towards the society. This honor was given in a dignified ceremony organized in Pratapgarh of Raisen district in the presence of Madhya Pradesh Governor Mangubhai Patel and National Human Rights Commission Chairman Priyank Kanungo.

This honor was given to Chowki Incharge Anand Ahirwar especially for his courageous action against a heinous crime like cow slaughter and for fighting bravely despite being shot in an encounter with a habitual criminal. Even after being injured, he not only performed his duty, but also played an important role in arresting the criminal.

His passion, commitment and dedication have been appreciated by various sections of the society. There is a wave of pride among the citizens of the entire district including Damoh Police Department on his being honored.

In his address at the program, Governor Mangubhai Patel said that such officers embody the basic spirit of our Constitution – justice, security and service. At the same time, Commission Chairperson Priyanka Kanungo described Anand Ahirwar's courage as an example in the direction of protecting human rights.

Outpost in-charge Anand Ahirwar, in his reaction to receiving the honor, said that this honor is not only his, but of the entire Damoh Police family. He called it a new inspiration to serve the common people and protect justice.

This honor ceremony is being considered an important initiative towards encouraging the protectors of the Constitution and the law.
