Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has ordered the shopkeepers to write their name and details in the shops coming on the Kanwar Yatra route. A similar order has already been given by Ujjain Municipal Corporation in Madhya Pradesh a year ago, but even after a year the municipal corporation officials have not implemented it.

This time, in the month of Sawan, the order will be strictly implemented. On the other hand, after the orders were issued in UP and Uttarakhand, the priest of Mahakal temple, the president of All India Priest Association and Mahamandaleshwar of Awahan Akhara have raised this demand again.

This proposal was put forward by committee chairman Rajat Mehta in the meeting of the Municipal Corporation's Revenue Committee on August 9 last year. It was said that shopkeepers should write their name and mobile number in clear words in front of the shop. There was also a provision of FIR against those who do not do so.

Why has it not been implemented even in a year? Regarding this, Municipal Corporation Commissioner Ashish Pathak says that its notification has been done. Implementation will be started soon.
