Investment showered in 'Invest Madhya Pradesh'
CM Mohan Yadav told the roadmap for the future
Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh has received a record investment proposal of Rs 30.77 lakh crore in various sectors including clean energy at the Global Investors Summit. The state government signed initial agreements with investors for this. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said, 'This historic achievement is not just about investment, but about brainstorming and preparing the way forward to start a new era of development.' He said that investment commitments will create 21.4 lakh new jobs and these investment proposals will pave the way for employment generation.
From Adani to NTPC expressed commitment
During the 2-day Investor Summit (Invest Madhya Pradesh) concluded in Bhopal on Tuesday, MoUs were signed for investment proposals of Rs 26.61 lakh crore out of Rs 30.77 lakh crore. Companies from the Adani Group to the public sector NTPC have committed to invest Rs 8.62 lakh crore in setting up renewable energy projects like solar plants and pump hydropower projects. The highest investment proposals of Rs 8.52 lakh crore came in industrial manufacturing. He said that Japan's retail company Uniqlo is also among the international companies showing interest in Madhya Pradesh. The company has signed an MoU in the readymade garment sector.
CM spoke on the future agenda of the state government
Mohan Yadav said that urban development, mining, energy, tourism are other sectors in which big investment commitments were received. On the future agenda of the state government, the Chief Minister said that discussions are going on to set up a new convention center in Bhopal which will be used for all big events in future. Apart from this, the state government has decided to provide subsidy per flight to make travel to the interior areas of the state practical to promote aviation. Also, the government has decided to provide a subsidy of Rs 10 lakh per flight for any international flight landing in Madhya Pradesh.
Mohan Yadav targeted Congress, said this
Mohan Yadav targeted the Congress and said that till 2003-04, economic and industrial growth in the state was negative and during the party's 10-year rule, British-era companies left the state. Yadav said that after the BJP returned, it has worked tirelessly to reverse this trend and has set ambitious targets to attract new investments. He said that for ease of doing business, the state has significantly reduced the number of permissions and has also time-bound the approval process. The Chief Minister said that the Global Investment Summit is a milestone in terms of investment proposals and employment generation and this will accelerate the industrial and economic transformation of the state.
