Saharanpur, On International Women's Day, a felicitation ceremony was organized under the aegis of Sahitya Sangam Jan Jagriti Social Forum. In which women who provided invaluable services in various fields were honoured. In the program held at the local office of the Manch, Mahila Police Chowki in-charge Swati Baliyan said that today women are working shoulder to shoulder with men in every field. The government is also paying special attention to the safety of women. Due to which today women are coming out of the house for justice. Councilor Sudha Gandhi said that today women are making their mark in every field on the strength of their hard work, struggle and courage. Principal of Lala Puranchand Sahni Memorial Inter College, Dr. Sunita said that women are the creators of this universe. She has accepted her existence as a daughter, sister, wife and mother. Chief guest and BJP leader Smt. Priyamvada said that times are changing, the attitude towards women in the society has changed. Mrs. Aditi Verma, Mrs. Suman, poet Mrs. Meera Chaurasia, social worker Shazia Zeenat Naz also expressed their views and said that women will always have to struggle for their respect, overcome obstacles for their dignity and fight against domestic violence.
