Damoh, on the occasion of Gita Jayanti, today the International Gita Mahotsav program was inaugurated by former Finance Minister and Damoh MLA Jayant Kumar Malaiya by lighting a lamp in the auditorium of Prime Minister College of Excellence. On this occasion, the students of Saraswati Shishu Mandir recited shlokas and learned pundits of Bandakpur recited Gita aloud. MLA Shri Malaiya inaugurated the exhibition of pictures of Gita by cutting the ribbon put up by the Culture Department. He visited the exhibition. Dr. Vijay Agarwal, the famous speaker, thinker and writer of Gita, was honored by presenting a memento.

On this occasion, MLA Shri Jayant Kumar Malaiya said that a lecture program on the subject of knowledge of Gita has started, today is its first day. The country's renowned speaker, thinker and writer Dr. Vijay Agarwal has come here. He has written many books and has also written two books on Gita. Certainly, people will be able to know about Gita through his lecture. He has a book called Samay Prabandhan. Today, people need time management a lot. If we imbibe it in our lives, we can do many things and do it comfortably. He said, Dr. Vijay Agarwal has come among us. For this, I heartily salute you and the people of the district. I congratulate you.

Writer and thinker Dr. Vijay Agarwal said that the Madhya Pradesh government has decided that the festival of Gita Jayanti will be celebrated in the entire state. This is a wonderful decision in itself. The Chief Minister is from Ujjain. Lord Shri Krishna received education in Ujjain. The seeds of knowledge that fell inside him in Ujjain became the Banyan tree in Kurukshetra. The Chief Minister is also from Ujjain. I feel that he is the most suitable person for this, who has started it.

Dr. Agarwal said that if the knowledge of Gita, tradition of Gita can reach people in true sense and people can accept it and adopt it in their life, then the nature of life will change completely. If the nature of life changes then the nature of society will change, if the nature of society changes then the nature of the nation will change. Gita is a very great book but unfortunately Gita has not been able to reach people in that form, regarding this I have written two books, one is Gita Ka Gyan and the other is Student and Gita Ka Gyan, in these books I have tried to explain Gita in a simple way so that people can understand Gita easily and adopt it in their life.

Dr. Agarwal said Gita is a song, the word Gita is made from geet. After continuous study for 15-20 years, last year my book Gita Ka Gyan came out, in which I have tried to understand Gita in a very simple way. Geeta is basically the philosophy of our life and the most important thing is that it is the most practical philosophy of life, none of the things said in Geeta is not possible in our practical life.

He said Geeta tries to remind us that you are full of possibilities, when you do your work with skill, then yoga is accomplished automatically, you have the possibility of becoming Himalayas, you should try to achieve it, you can do this, the earth has sent us as sparrows, we have the possibility of becoming Garuda, you can do this through Geeta.

Dr. Agrawal said that Krishna has explained in great detail in the tenth chapter that Arjun, if you want to understand what I am, then Krishna says, I am a mountain. But among the mountains I am Himalaya, I am also an elephant but among the elephants I am Airavat, I am also a bird but among the birds I am Garuda, I am also a reservoir but among the reservoirs I am the ocean and he said that among the months I am Agahan, on this day itself, early in the morning Krishna preached the Gita to Arjun.

He said that we all should try to stay in our own identities, the more a person stays in his own identity, the more perfect he will be and the closer he will be able to reach Krishna, like right now my identity is that of a speaker and your identity is that of a listener. Our identity keeps changing every moment, there are different identities outside and at home, the more we stay in our perfect identity, our decisions will be that much perfect, the more perfect our behavior pattern will be, then no problem will arise at all. He said that Gita is not a religious text, but Krishna has used the word Dharma at many places in Gita, in Mahabharata, the definition of Dharma is clearly that that which holds the world is Dharma.

Collector Sudhir Kumar Kochar said that as per the instructions of the state government, Gita Jayanti programs are being organized on 11 December in the entire state. In this connection, the main program in Damoh district was organized today at Prime Minister College of Excellence Damoh. Collector Mr. Kochar said that today it is a matter of great happiness that the students of Saraswati Shishu Mandir and the Brahmins of Gita Pratishthan recited Gita aloud here. After that, the people of Damoh got to listen to the lecture of Dr. Vijay Agarwal sahab here. He is considered one of the great scholars of Gita on the subject of knowledge of Gita. Dr. Agarwal ji has also written two books on Gita. He also runs a WhatsApp club on Gita. He goes to the country and abroad to give lectures on Gita. Today we all got the privilege of listening to his lecture.

The collector has also organized a very good exhibition here which has been organized through the cultural department of the state government. I request that this exhibition centered on the Gita will continue for now. Everyone must visit the exhibition and I believe that today's program has given practical sutras (vyavaharik sutras) to bring the Gita into life, if we all follow them then the Gita will start coming into our lives.
