Saharanpur, After the previous term of the Gram Panchayat in Gangoh development block in Saharanpur district ended, the then Divisional Commissioner received a complaint that the then Administrator and Assistant Development Officer (ISB) appointed in the Gram Panchayats and the then 13 Gram Vikas Adhikaris had embezzled about Rs 8 crore from the accounts of 98 Gram Panchayats in three months. The then Divisional Commissioner had handed over the investigation of the case to Additional Commissioner, Saharanpur Division Surendra Ram. When the matter came to the notice of Divisional Commissioner Dr. Hrishikesh Bhaskar Yashod, he took it seriously and directed to submit the investigation report soon. In the course of which, the investigation officer presented his final investigation report before the Divisional Commissioner in which the allegations leveled against Pramod Kumar, the then Administrator/Assistant Development Officer (ISB), Jai Prakash Verma, the then Village Development Officer, Ankit Tomar, the then Village Development Officer, Neetu, the then Village Development Officer, Vikrant, the then Village Development Officer, Pradeep Kumar, the then Village Development Officer, Shri Kirat Kumar, the then Village Development Officer and Shri Yogendra Kumar, the then Village Development Officer were found to be true. Divisional Commissioner Dr. Hrishikesh Bhaskar Yashod sent a letter to the District Magistrate Saharanpur and directed to take departmental action against all the culprits. The information of this has also been sent by the Divisional Commissioner to the Principal Secretary Rural Development and Commissioner Rural Development Lucknow. It is to be noted that only the final investigation report has been submitted by the investigating officer to the Divisional Commissioner. The investigation proceedings are still going on in which many more names will be revealed. The Divisional Commissioner directed the investigating officer to complete the investigation proceedings soon and submit the investigation report.
