The Bihar Police, which has the responsibility of the safety of the common people, is itself unsafe. Attacks on policemen in Bihar are not stopping. A mob attacked the police team that had come to investigate the assault on a woman lawyer in Muzaffarpur. People chased and beat the policemen. The policemen reached the police station by driving the vehicle in reverse gear for 3 km.

The mob attacked the police that had come after getting information about the assault on woman lawyer Soni Kumar at around 10:30 pm. People armed with sticks and rods chased and beat the policemen in Majhauli village. The policemen somehow saved their lives by backing the vehicle in reverse gear for 3 km and fled from there. 4 people including an ASI were injured in the attack.

During the attack, people also tried to snatch the rifle of a SAP jawan. In the scuffle, the upper guard of the rifle broke and remained in the hands of the mob. Somehow, the SAP jawan and the policemen boarded the police van and fled in reverse gear. Additional SHO Lutawan Ram, SI Preetesh Giri and two police vans brought the injured from the police station to Bochahan hospital. Here ASI Ranjay Kumar, SAP jawan Arvind Kumar and Veeresh and constable driver Neelmani Kumar alias Gopal were referred to SKMCH after treatment. According to the police, there were a large number of women in the crowd.

After the attack, the police could not turn the vehicle and had to drive in reverse gear for about three kilometers from Majhauli to the police station. Two bike riders also chased the van till the old police station. SHO Rakesh Kumar Yadav said that an FIR will be lodged and action will be taken against those who attacked the police.
