Motihari. Motihari CBN A four-year-old girl has died after drowning in Budhi Gandak river. Her friend who was playing with her informed the family about the girl drowning, after which the family reached there. But, by the time they took the girl out, she had died. The incident is from Vimalpur village of Mehsi police station area. The four-year-old daughter of the deceased Sunil Rai, Sandhya Kumari, has died. Her uncle Anil Rai told that Budhi Gandak river passes near the house. There, a litchi tree is planted on the dam. She had gone with her friend Muskaan to eat litchi. After eating litchi, she went to the river to wash her hands, meanwhile her feet slipped.

Police got the post-mortem of the body done

Then, she drowned in the river water. When she started drowning, Muskan, who was eating litchi with her, ran and informed the family members but by the time people from the vicinity came and took her out of the river, she had already died. The deceased's uncle told that she had two sisters. She was the eldest among them. Her father works as a labourer outside. Mehsi Police Station Officer Arun Kumar Jha said that as soon as the information about the girl drowning in the river was received, a police team was sent and the body was taken into custody, post-mortem was done and the body was handed over to the family.
