Dhar, Under the Dhar/Naveen Mehar/Indore-Dahod rail project, a platform will be constructed near the Tornod bridge located at Naugaon in Dhar. Work is going on to connect this 8-lane platform with Indore-Dahod and Chhota Udaipur-Dhar rail project. Earthwork work is going on. Along with this, work is being done to complete the infrastructure work before March-2024. Along with this, earthwork is also being prepared for laying the railway line. Bais has been completed, now the drill for laying ballast will be seen soon. If everything goes well, the train between Dhar and Indore can be started around March-2024.
This was stated by Dhar-Mhow MP Chhatarsingh Darbar during the inspection of ongoing construction works under the rail project with journalists. He said that there is no shortage of budget for the rail project. The Narendra Modi government at the Center has already allotted the budget required for the Indore-Dahod rail project. I have also told the railway officials to do the work with strength. So that the work can be done in the fixed target.
Member of Parliament Darbar said that when I was a member of the 14th Lok Sabha, I strongly raised the demand of the railway line with the government as the voice of the tribal-dominated people. During this tenure, on February 8, 2008, after approving the rail project, the then Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had performed Bhumi Pujan of the project in Jhabua. Thereafter due to some reasons the work got affected and delayed. But in my second term, when I got a chance again, I again demanded Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Railway Minister to start the stalled works of the project. Meanwhile Corona came. But the government accepted our demand and opened the budget box and provided sufficient budget for the scheme. As a result, there is now enough budget for the scheme and the work is going on at a fast pace. According to our target, we will start the train between Dhar and Indore by 2024.

In Tihi too, the base has been widened for laying tracks afresh. The MP Durbar has also asked the railway officials to increase the pace of work. Along with this, wherever there are problems, instructions have been given to get them resolved with the help of the administration and public representatives. So that the project work is completed on time.
Tunnel work in final stage: Under the Indore-Dahod rail project, 3 km underground tunnel is being constructed near Tihi. The tunnel work has almost come to completion. However, due to water logging in some parts inside the tunnel, the earthwork work has not started yet. Railway officials said that work is being done to clear the water. After a fortnight, conditions will be created to start the earthwork. Parliamentarian Durbar has asked the railway officials to complete the work after taking information about the tunnel.
