Indian groom ties the knot with American bride
Marriage took place with great pomp in Chandpur of Saran
Chapra, love is such a thing that it breaks all the boundaries of the country and abroad. Something similar was seen in Chhapra, Bihar. Where the American bride and the Indian groom and the American bride tied the knot formally in a wedding ceremony in Chandpur village of Manjhi block area under Saran district on Monday. Local Acharya Vicky Pandey conducted this wedding as per Hindu rituals, to see which thousands of villagers including half a dozen Americans were present.
On January 16, Safia reached Chandpur village with her brother and sister and Anand with his four American friends. Safia's father Graylery Senger Thomas and mother Valerie Senger Thomas have already passed away. On January 20, Anand and Safia tied the knot in Chandpur village as per Indian tradition and Hindu rituals. Before that, the marriage procession was taken out from the Kali Sthan of the village and after that the marriage was solemnized in the Shiva temple.
When the bride and groom reached the Shiva temple with the procession riding on a chariot, a large crowd gathered to take photos of the bride and groom. Women completed the marriage by singing Mangal Geet. Many dignitaries including Hareram Singh, Janardan Singh, Narendra Singh, Lal Singh, Brajesh Singh, Rajesh Singh, Jansuraj leader Munna Bhavani, Sarpanch Bharat Singh, former district councilor Dharmendra Singh of the society were present in the marriage ceremony.
Anand Kumar Singh, a resident of Chandpur village of Dawoodpur police station area, who became the groom of a foreign daughter-in-law, said that he is associated with the hotel business in America. During this time, he met Safia and after understanding each other for about 3 years, they decided to get married with the consent of the family members.
