Lucknow, Congress spokesperson Supriya Shrinet's decision to contest the Lok Sabha elections has been eclipsed. Supriya Shrinet has not been given ticket after making indecent remarks against Bollywood actress and BJP candidate Kangana Ranaut from Mandi Lok Sabha seat of Himachal Pradesh. Congress released its eighth list of candidates on Wednesday in which Supriya Shrinet's name was not there. Supriya Shrinet was going to contest elections from Maharajganj seat of UP. Now Congress has made Virendra Chaudhary its candidate in his place.
It is noteworthy that Supriya Shrinet had contested the 2019 Lok Sabha elections from Maharajganj seat. However, he had to face defeat. This time too, her ticket was considered fixed, but before the ticket was announced, Supriya Shrinet wrote a very indecent post about Kangana Ranaut from her official X account. After which BJP made it an issue and linked it to women's respect. Now it is being said that Congress did not give ticket to Supriya Srinet while doing damage control.
