Increase in transmission capacity of Jabalpur district
MP Transco energized / commissioned 63 MVA capacity power transformer at Manaskara (Sihora)

Jabalpur, MP TRANSCO (Madhya Pradesh Power Transmission Company) has increased its transformation capacity in Jabalpur district by energizing 132 KV Substation Manaskara, Sihora by installing a new power transformer of 63 MVA capacity. Energy Minister of Madhya Pradesh Mr. Pradyuman Singh Tomar said that about 80 thousand agricultural and domestic electricity consumers of Sihora area and industrial units of Hargarh, Angaria, Parakheda area will be benefited after starting power supply from this transformer. Now reliable high quality power supply will be available to them at proper voltage. Energy Minister Shri Pradyuman Singh Tomar has congratulated the personnel of MP Transco for energizing this transformer which is very important for the power consumers of the area.
Electricity is supplied to 40 industrial connections
Mr. Tomar informed that apart from urban areas, 11 high pressure consumers of Angaria area under Sihora and 29 very high pressure consumers in industrial area Hargarh, Parakheda are supplied electricity from 132 KV substation Manaskara, Sihora. With the increase in the capacity of the substation, quality power supply has been provided to the villages of Fanwani, Gosalpur, Manjhauli, Indrana, Gandhigram, Nigwani, Khinni, Ramkhiriya, Majhganwa, Tikaria, Bargi, Mohla, Gaurah, Talad, Abhana, Ranital, Paula, Lamkana, Paura etc. Will be able to go
17 substations of 33 KV have power supply from Manaskara
Mr. Atul Joshi, Chief Engineer, MP Transco informed that from 132 KV substation Manaskara, MP Transco supplies power to 17 33 KV substations through 09 feeders of 33 KV substation.
With the installation of this new 63 MVA transformer, the transformation capacity of Manaskara substation has increased to 126 MVA. In Jabalpur district, the transmission company transmits electricity through its four 220 KV substations and 9 132 KV substations. Now the total transformation capacity of Jabalpur district has increased to 1994.5 MVA.
