People are very troubled by the scorching sun and severe heat in Patna, Bihar. It has become difficult to go out of the house due to heat wave. The heat is increasing day by day. Heat wave may have to be faced for 3 more days. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert till June 14. It has also expressed the possibility of the weather becoming normal from June 15 to 16.

For 3 days, most of the districts of Bihar will be in the grip of extreme heat wave. Along with the Meteorological Department, the Disaster Management Department has also issued an alert regarding this. People have been asked to avoid going out in the sun between 12 and 3 pm. In view of the severe heat in Bihar, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has instructed all the District Magistrates that in view of the disaster situation of severe heat and heat wave, the Disaster Management Department and all the District Magistrates of the state should take appropriate action. Ensure electricity supply everywhere, be it village or city. He has asked to monitor the entire situation and ensure proper arrangements in all hospitals.

In view of the catastrophic situation of severe heat and heatwave, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has directed the Disaster Management Department and all the District Magistrates of the state to take appropriate action. He has asked to keep drinking water tankers in sufficient numbers at sensitive places in all the districts. He has also asked to keep an eye on the groundwater level. Advising people to take proper precautions to avoid severe heat and heat wave, he has also instructed to ensure the arrangement of mikeing.

He has also asked to ensure adequate availability of necessary health facilities and necessary medicines in all the primary health centers including sub-divisional and Sadar hospitals. He has asked to ensure uninterrupted power supply at all places, be it village or city, so that people can get relief from the scorching heat. He has instructed the Disaster Management Department to keep making people aware and monitor the entire situation.

CM Nitish has expressed grief over the death of three children due to drowning in the Bagmati river in Sitamarhi. He tweeted and wrote that the death of 3 children due to drowning in the Bagmati river in Bairgania of Sitamarhi district is sad. Instructions have been given to continue proper search for another child missing in this incident. The families of the deceased have been asked to be given Rs. 4 lakh each as ex-gratia.
