Saharanpur, on the instructions of District Magistrate Manish Bansal, the DO Food and his food safety officers conducted checks at various sweet shops and other sweet shops in the district today. Specifically, checks were made to ensure that no expired or near-expiry food items or food packets were included in gift hampers for the Holi festival. It was also stated that if anyone packages expired items, action will be taken against such shopkeepers.
