Saharanpur, In protest against the rape and murder of a female doctor in Deoband, Kolkata, doctors associated with IMA today sent a memorandum to the Prime Minister through SDM and demanded action. Under the leadership of IMA Deoband President Dr. Anuj Goyal, the doctors reached the SDM office where a memorandum addressed to the Prime Minister was handed over to SDM Deoband Ankur Verma and it was said that the rape and murder of a female doctor in Kolkata has shaken the conscience of the nation. The doctors have demanded a quick and thorough investigation of the incident and strict action in the matter, along with this, a demand has also been made to take strict steps to curb such incidents in future. In protest against the incident, on the call of Indian Medical Association (IMA), doctors will be on a 24-hour strike on August 17. During this time, only emergency services will remain open. Dr. Anuj Goyal said that on the call of the organization, medical services will remain closed for 24 hours from 6 am on August 17. Only emergency services will be provided. During this time, organization general secretary Raviprakash Khorana, Dr. Arvind Goyal, Dr. Leena Goyal and other doctors were present.
