Katni, Police arrested one accused in the case of shooting and injuring Arun Kumar Dubey, a resident of Prayagraj Bhadohi, late Thursday night near the main Katni station GRP station under Katni Kotwali police station. At the same time, two accused are still absconding. This information was given by Katni Kotwali police station in-charge Ashish Sharma.

Ashish Sharma said that on Thursday night, information was received that a passerby was injured by a bullet under the Kotwali police station area. During interrogation, the injured told that he was travelling from Bhusaval to Prayagraj and came out of the station to have breakfast in Katni, when he heard the sound of a gunshot, he turned around and found himself injured by a bullet, after which he fell on the ground. An FIR was registered on the statement of the injured in the case. Taking immediate action, the police took the injured to the Government District Hospital Katni for treatment, where after initial treatment, he was referred to Jabalpur for better treatment. On the order of the SP, a special team was formed under the leadership of the Kotwali police station in-charge and an accused was arrested on the basis of inputs received during information gathering and scientific research. Police is searching for two accused involved in the incident. Kotwali police also said that near Katni railway station, Tarun Jatav, Ritesh Nishad and Vishnu Nishad fired at Om Goswami (20), a resident of Ballatghat, due to an old rivalry. But instead of hitting Om Goswami, the bullet hit the back of Arun Kumar Dubey, a passerby from Suriyava in Bhadohi district of Uttar Pradesh. To arrest the other accused, the police is raiding their possible hideouts.
