Lalbarra, about 15 km from the city headquarters. The festival of Bhujali was celebrated with great enthusiasm on Tuesday in the village panchayat Kanki, located far away. On this occasion, after the girls and women took out Bhujali in the courtyard of their houses and worshiped them, all the girls and women gathered on the Balaghat Road main road and took out a grand procession dancing to traditional songs on the tune of DJ, after which the Bhujali were immersed after performing Aarti on the banks of the Wainganga river and in the small pond of the village.

It is known that this festival of Bhujali is celebrated since ancient times with great pomp on the second day of Raksha Bandhan, basically for the auspicious wish of good harvest, good rain and happiness and prosperity. Preparations for Bhujaliya festival start from Nag Panchami itself and on this festival wheat or barley is sown in the houses which are called Bhujaliya. On the second day of Rakshabandhan, women worship them and immerse these baskets in water sources.

After which people present Bhujaliya to the dignitaries, elders of the family, women in their respective villages and towns and receive blessings from them and also send best wishes for the festival.

In a discussion with the press, Kanki's young Sarpanch Durgaprasad Pagarwar said that Bhujali festival, a symbol of greenery, was organized as per every year, this year also Bhujali Milan Samaroh was organized in which a large number of women, sisters, youth, elders of the village participated and celebrated the festival with great joy. Especially newly married couples of all communities participated in this program, whose 'Bhawar Phirna' program is held near the small pond where all the villagers attend and visit all the streets of the village in the form of a grand rally, and after doing 'Bhawar', immerse Bhujaliya, give Bhujali to each other and wish for happiness and prosperity and receive blessings. I express my heartfelt gratitude to all the villagers, young friends, women and elders of Gram Panchayat Kanki for organizing this successful program.
