Shivhar, Bihar Legislative Council member Farooq Sheikh has asked a question to Energy Department Minister Vijeyendra Prasad Yadav in the 206th budget session of Bihar Legislative Council that the electricity bill in villages like Fatehpur, Khairma Darp, Daud Chhapra etc. under the area of Shivhar Municipal Council is not urban. The rate is being taken. But electricity supply is being done from rural feeders and electricity supply in the said villages is frequently interrupted due to which the common people are facing difficulties.

In response to the question raised by Farooq Sheikh, Member, Bihar Legislative Council, Energy Department Minister Vijeyendra Prasad Yadav has said that the electricity supply to Fatehpur village is 11 KV. Urban feeder is being operated by Fatehpur.

The same Khairma Darp and Daud Chhapra villages were provided 11 KV. Electricity is being supplied from mixed feeder Pardesiya. New villages/wards coming in the Municipal Corporation area are being supplied from rural feeder or mixed feeder. Survey work is in progress to connect all those areas with urban feeder and its target is to be completed by 2025.
