Husband convicted of wife's murder sentenced to seven years in jail
Fine of ten thousand rupees also imposed

Saharanpur, ADJ Fast Track Court Vikas convicted her husband Narendra Kumar of harassing the married woman for dowry and unintentional murder and sentenced him to seven years imprisonment and also imposed a fine of ten thousand rupees. Advocate Satish Saini told that on 10 September 2018, in Sarsawa police station, the father of the deceased woman, Ramkumar son of Mamachand, resident of village Anantmau police station Nanauta, had alleged that the people of the in-laws' side harassed his daughter when the dowry demand was not met and killed her by poisoning her. Police had filed a chargesheet in the court against Narendra Kumar and his brother Amit Kumar. ADJ Vikas sentenced Narendra Kumar and acquitted his brother Amit Kumar due to lack of evidence.
