By-elections are being held in three assembly constituencies in Himachal Pradesh. Voting in the by-elections will be held on July 10 and its results will come on July 13. Before this, the Bharatiya Janata Party has taken major action against its rebel leader. Bharatiya Janata Party President Dr. Rajiv Bindal has shown Harpreet Singh Saini the way out of the party.

Harpreet Singh Saini has been expelled from the party for six years. He was contesting against the authorized candidate of the Bharatiya Neta Party, Krishna Lal Thakur, in the Nalagarh assembly constituency. Harpreet Singh Saini was also the media in-charge of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha in the state. The party first asked Saini to withdraw his name as an independent candidate, but Saini did not agree. Now the party has shown him the way out.

Main contest between Congress and BJP
The main contest in the by-election to be held in the Nalagarh assembly constituency is between the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Congress. Here, BJP's Krishan Lal Thakur is contesting against Congress' Hardeep Singh Bawa. A total of five candidates are in the electoral fray in Nalagarh assembly constituency. On March 22, Krishan Lal Thakur resigned from Himachal Pradesh Assembly as an independent MLA. This resignation was accepted on June 3. After the resignation was accepted, by-elections are being held here. Apart from Nalagarh, by-elections are also being held in Hamirpur and Dehra assembly constituencies.

Nalagarh has 93 thousand 831 voters

Nalagarh assembly constituency has 93 thousand 831 voters. The number of service eligible voters here is 924. 121 polling booths have been prepared here for voting on July 10. After the by-elections are completed in all three assembly constituencies, the number of members in the assembly will be complete. The total number of members in Himachal Pradesh is 68. At present, the number of members in the state assembly is 65. Among them, Congress has 38 MLAs and BJP has 27 MLAs.
