Under the guidance of Executive Engineer and Member Secretary District Water and Sanitation Mission S.K. Verma of Narayanpur district, Har Ghar Jal Utsav was celebrated in Kodoli and Kasturmeta villages of Orchha development block. The Gram Sabha was completed by providing certificates in the presence of Gram Panchayat Sarpanch Pinky Shori and public representatives of the village, Deputy Sarpanch, Ward Panch, rural women and departmental officers. Under the Jal Jeevan Mission scheme, pure drinking water was supplied to all the houses of the village and the villagers enthusiastically welcomed the scheme by celebrating Jal Utsav. The District Project Coordinator present in the program made the people aware of the responsibilities of operation, maintenance, management and continuous functioning of Har Ghar Nal, Har Ghar Jal under Jal Jeevan Mission and asked them to run the schemes smoothly in future as well. Also, the Village Water and Sanitation Committee, Jal Bahini, Pump Operator, Plumber, Helper and all the villagers were motivated to discharge their responsibilities. To implement the scheme on time, complete information about water quality testing was given and it was told to take a water sample from the village's water source and test it on various parameters of water quality testing. Information was given about the harmful effects and diseases caused by impure water. On this occasion, the District Coordinator and other dignitaries, department employees, CD. AT Bhogdatt Verma, Kalyan Singh Manhar, ISA Coordinator Chandrakant Devdas, IEC Coordinator Sunil Usendi and contractor of Mahalakshmi Construction were present.
