Saharanpur, Minister Higher Education Department, Uttar Pradesh Yogendra Upadhyay inspected Maa Shakumbhari Devi University during the district tour and held a review meeting with the officials.

During the inspection, MLA Nagar Rajiv Gumbar, MLA Nakud Mukesh Chaudhary, Mayor Dr. Ajay Singh, Vice Chancellor Professor HS Singh, District Magistrate Dr. Dinesh Chandra, Senior Superintendent of Police Dr. Vipin Tada were present. After inspecting the administrative and educational buildings, the Higher Education Minister expressed deep displeasure over the quality of construction work. After inspecting the walls of the building thoroughly, he saw cracks in the walls of the building, negligence in finishing work and directed the District Magistrate to constitute TAC and send a letter to the government level for investigation. He directed the implementing agency to immediately provide the revised DPR to the Vice Chancellor and District Magistrate. Expressing deep displeasure at the working agency and PMC, he said that even if the work was not up to the standard, he warned the concerned contractor and showed strictness for not informing the government level. He said that no compromise will be made in the quality of construction work and finishing work. Let us tell you that during the inspections done from time to time by Divisional Commissioner Dr. Hrishikesh Bhaskar Yashod and District Magistrate Dr. Dinesh Chandra, the working agency, PMC and the contractor have been instructed for timeliness and quality of work. Still, construction work like university was not taken seriously. The working agency informed that the construction work of Maa Shakumbhari University has been completed 95.20 percent.
At the time of inspection, Chief Development Officer Sumit Rajesh Mahajan, District President BJP Dr. Mahendra Saini, officials of the working agency and other officials were present.
