Mumbai, Three youths were killed and another seriously injured in a tragic road accident on Mumbai's Coastal Road on Sunday morning. The accident occurred in front of Lotus Jetty on the route from Marine Drive to Haji Ali. The speeding BMW car went out of control and fell off a bridge. CCTV footage of the accident has also surfaced. Police have launched an investigation.

According to Mumbai Police, the accident occurred around 5:20 a.m. near Lala College. Four youths were in the car. After the accident, all four were rushed to Nair Hospital for treatment, where doctors declared three of the youths dead, while one is undergoing treatment in critical condition. The deceased have been identified as Shanay Gajjal (21) and Dhairya Seth (17), while the identity of the third deceased is currently unknown. The injured youth is said to be around 20 years old and has been admitted to the trauma ward.

BMC stated that the accident occurred after a loss of control.

According to the BMC, the BMW car was traveling from Marine Drive towards Haji Ali. Near Lotus Jetty, the driver reportedly lost control due to high speed, causing the car to crash and fall off the bridge. Police have inspected the scene and launched an investigation into the cause of the accident. The vehicles involved and CCTV footage that emerged are also being examined.
