Health worker shot dead in Sasaram
First bike stolen, then health worker who was chasing was also murdered
Rohtas, big news is coming from Rohtas district of Bihar, where a health worker has been shot dead in Sasaram subdivision area. According to the information received, Bhanu Pratap, a health department worker, was shot dead on the national highway in Auna of Shivsagar police station area of Sasaram. The deceased was the son of Chitranjan Singh of Sakri village of Kudra police station of Kaimur district. He was posted as Ambulance Controller Officer in the Health Department in Bhabua of Kaimur district.
It is said that last night some people stole a bike from Bhanu Pratap's house in Sakri village of Kaimur and started running away. Seeing this, he took out his car and started chasing the bike thief in the car itself. While chasing the bike, they came from Kaimur district to Rohtas district. When Bhanu Pratap tried to stop the bike thieves while chasing them near Auna in Shivsagar, the criminals opened fire and shot Bhanu Pratap. Bhanu Pratap died on the spot.
During this incident, another youth of the family was also fired upon. After this incident, sensation has spread in the area. Police of Shivsagar police station has reached the spot. The post-mortem of the deceased's body is being done in Sadar Hospital of Sasaram. The way the bike thief criminals shot and killed Bhanu Pratap when he came to Rohtas while chasing the bike thieves in a car in Sakri of Kaimur district. This has created a sensation in the area. The cousin of the deceased, who was with him during the incident, says that during this time, continuous efforts were made to contact the nearby police station over the phone. But, no contact could be made.
