What action has the government taken in Bihar against teachers appointed on fake degrees?

Patna, Patna High Court heard the case of reinstatement of a large number of teachers appointed on the basis of fake degrees in the state. While hearing the PIL of Ranjit Pandit, the division bench of Chief Justice KV Chandran has given two more weeks to the state government and the state monitoring department to submit the action taken report. Petitioner's advocate Dinu Kumar said that there are still 72 thousand teachers. Folders have not been received. This case has been going on for a long time, but the pace of investigation is very slow. In an earlier hearing, the court had directed the state government to set a time limit within which all concerned teachers should submit their degrees and other documents. The court had made it clear that those who do not submit documents and records within the stipulated time. Action should be taken against teachers. Petitioner's advocate Dinu Kumar told the court that a large number of teachers are working in the state on the basis of fake degrees. Also they are taking salary. Earlier, the court had said in an order of 2014 that those who are teachers under the state government on the basis of such fake degrees, are given an opportunity to resign on their own, then no action will be taken against them.
