Shahdol, the work of door to door connection and PNG gas distribution through pipeline has been going on in the city for a long time. PNG gas has been distributed through pipeline to a total of 75 houses in Gheewara Colony, Housing Board Colony and Green City Colony of the city and the work of distribution to more houses in this area is in progress. BPCL has achieved another milestone in its resolve to make Shahdol city pollution free through PNG gas. BPCL has now inaugurated the project of installing smart meters instead of traditional gas meters for PNG connection in the city's Green City Colony. In fact, recently this project was started by switching on the smart meter at the house of Green City Colony President Ram Lakhan Singh Baghel in the presence of BPCL's Rauf Khan Chief General Manager (Gas Project and Distribution), Shri Dandapani General Manager (Gas Distribution), Sumedh Vasnik (Regional Manager Gas), and other officials.

150 smart meters will be installed...
BPCL officials are running an awareness campaign for the residents of the colony. Residents are being constantly informed about the smart meter in the presence of responsible officers. Now consumers can recharge their gas prepaid as per their wish and can also know how much gas they have used per day. As this is an initial project, BPCL officials said that only 150 smart meters will be installed in Green City and other areas in the first phase and only after its successful implementation, it will be installed in other areas of the city. This effort of BPCL has been highly appreciated by the residents and another step has been taken to make the city pollution free.
