Idukki, A roadways bus fell into a ditch in Idukki district of Kerala. Three people including a woman died in the accident. While many people were injured.

Police said that a KSRTC bus carrying 34 passengers was returning to Mavelikkara in Alappuzha district after a trip to Thanjavur in Tamil Nadu. The bus went out of control and fell into a ditch near Pullupara in Idukki district at around six in the morning on Monday. Three people including a woman died in the accident and many others were injured.

According to the police, the bodies of the deceased have been sent to a private hospital in Mundakayam and will be handed over to the relatives after post-mortem.

Dumper hit a car, two BJP leaders died

A dumper hit a car in Sambalpur district of Odisha on Sunday morning. Two BJP leaders died in this accident. The deceased were identified as Devendra Nayak and Muralidhar Chhuria. Nayak was the BJP's Goshala Mandal president, while Chhuria was a former sarpanch. Both leaders were close to senior BJP leader Nauri Nayak. According to the police, the incident took place at 1.30 am on NH 53 in Burla police station area. There were six people in the car, including the driver. They were returning from Bhubaneswar to their home in Kardola. After the accident, all were taken to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared two dead, while the others are undergoing treatment.

Intentionally hit the car

Suresh Chanda, who was injured in the incident, alleged, 'The dumper hit our car twice from behind. We suspected that someone was intentionally hitting our car, so the driver turned the car from the highway towards Kanthpali Chowk, but the dumper followed and hit the car again, causing the car to overturn.' He said that he was conscious when the car was hit twice. But when the dumper hit him for the third time, he fainted. Chanda said, 'I am sure it was done intentionally. One can accidentally hit someone once, but why was he hit three times?'
