Muzaffarpur, Going for raid in plain clothes in Muzaffarpur proved costly for a sub-inspector. Villagers mistook the sub-inspector for a thief and beat him up and even tried to snatch his pistol. A video related to this incident is going viral on social media.

Actually, a video is going viral on social media in Sahibganj police station area. On receiving information about a criminal, the police team reached in civil dress to catch him, then the criminal shouted thief-thief and escaped from there by dodging. On hearing the voice of thief, people from nearby gathered at the spot and the sub-inspector was caught by the mob.

The furious villagers beat up the sub-inspector badly and also tried to snatch his pistol, then a person from the village itself recognized the sub-inspector and told that he is Sub Inspector Puneet Kumar. After the youth's persuasion, the villagers calmed down and released the inspector.

After receiving information about the attack on the police team, police from several police stations reached the spot and arrested about half a dozen people from the spot. The police registered a case and sent everyone to court. The video of the attack on the police is rapidly going viral in Muzaffarpur, although First Bihar does not confirm the authenticity of the viral video.
