Give money, take bag: Illegal collection from students in government school

Bettiah, Students of Government Middle School Dumri Mahanawa School of Bettiah created a ruckus. The matter is from Majhauliya of Bettiah where illegal collection is going on from the students of Government Middle School Dumri Mahanawa in the distribution of school bags and study material given free of cost to the students by Bihar Education Project Council, Education Department, Government of Bihar. 20 rupees per student was demanded for the bag. Villagers and students protested fiercely against this.
The students told that illegal collection was done by teachers Dharmendra Singh, Jang Bahadur Patel in the name of giving school bags. The students alleged that those who did not give the bribe were not given free school bags. Principal Pratima Devi is also involved in this illegal collection. Upon receiving the information, the Mukhiya's son Upendra Kumar reached the school and pacified the angry villagers and students. He also asked the Headmistress Pratima Devi and teacher Dharmendra Singh to follow the decorum of teacher's duty and stop illegal collection. He demanded the Block Education Officer to conduct a high-level inquiry into the matter and take necessary action against the culprits.
Let us tell you that teacher Dharmendra Singh tried to scare the students and villagers and drive them away from the school. Block Education Officer Hafizul Rehman said that the incident will be investigated and action will be taken against the culprits.
