Saharanpur, District Task Force meeting was convened in the Collectorate Auditorium under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Manish Bansal to stop illegal mining and transportation. In the meeting, DM Manish Bansal said that gangster action should be taken against those involved in organised illegal mining. Permit cancellation action should be taken if number plate is not there, is not clearly visible or is wrong and strict action should be taken against the concerned as per rules. He directed the Sub-Divisional Magistrate and Police Circle Officer to set up check posts at designated places within 03 days. He said that while increasing the number of personnel at the check post, a register should also be made so that the record of vehicles coming and going can be maintained. He directed the officers of the GST department to immediately inform the Sub-Divisional Magistrate and Mining Officer about the vehicles caught by them related to illegal mining. DM Manish Bansal directed that the tehsil administration, police and mining department should put a complete stop on illegal mining with better coordination among themselves. Along with this, the personnel posted at the check post should also be well informed about their responsibilities and duties. He instructed the mining officer to keep CCTV cameras with 360 degree views operational on all stone crushers. Along with this, there should be a designated path for the movement of vehicles on the designated stone crushers. He instructed that effective curbs should be put on the illegal operation of overloaded vehicles. Strict action should be taken against the persons involved in illegal mining. He said that action should be taken as per rules against those brick kiln owners who have not deposited the regulation fee.
