Ganga Dussehra and Father's Day celebrated in Shivhar

On the occasion of Ganga Dussehra and Father's Day in Shivhar, social organizations and intellectuals of the district gave wishes and said that Mother Ganga descended on earth on the day of Ganga Dussehra, the same Father's Day is being celebrated. Father is like a neem tree. Even though its tree is bitter, it gives cool shade.
Ganga Dussehra festival is being celebrated with full faith in the district. Ganga Dussehra is a major festival of Hindus. Which is celebrated on Jyeshtha Shukla Dashami. On this day, Mother Ganga descended on earth.
The day of Ganga Dussehra has great religious significance. People who worship Mother Ganga on this auspicious day attain salvation. Also, their sins are destroyed. White clothes should be donated on Ganga Dussehra, apart from this, donating seasonal fruits like mango and sattu is considered auspicious. Bathing in the Ganga river or ponds gives very fruitful benefits.
Acharya Deepak Kumar Mishra has told that donating a cow on this festival is considered a great donation. Bathing in the Ganga liberates one from 10 types of sins, one should also donate lamps. It is believed that Ganga Dussehra is the festival of Mother Ganga's arrival from heaven to earth.
On the day of Ganga Dussehra, many people also worship their Kul Devta. Generally, the deity of the house is also worshipped in homes on the day of Ganga Dussehra.
