Under the guidance of Superintendent of Police Anuppur Moti Ur Rehman and Additional Superintendent of Police Israr Mansuri and SDOP Anuppur Sumit Kerketta, Kotwali Police Station under the leadership of TI Kotwali Arvind Jain exposed the gang who used to steal after breaking the lock of a closed house at night and arrested woman Kalawati God alias Kaliya Bai who used to assist in the crime by doing recce.
It is noteworthy that a report was filed by Mrs. Sarika Patel, wife of Ramprakash Patel, age 43 years, resident of Polytechnic College, Anuppur, that she had gone to her maternal home with her family on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan. When she returned on the morning of 20 August 24, she found that the lock of the house was broken and the items in the rooms were scattered. Some unknown thief had stolen old used gold and silver jewellery kept in the cupboard and cash worth Rs. 50,000. On the above report, crime number 331/24 under sections 331(4), 305 (A) BNS was registered in the Kotwali police station and investigation was done. Superintendent of Police Anuppur Moti Ur Rehman constituted a police team under the leadership of TI Kotwali to solve the above theft case and police dog, finger print expert and cyber police team were sent to the spot and important evidence was collected. CCTV cameras installed around the spot were also checked. On the basis of information received from cameras, cyber cell and informers, police arrested a woman named Kalawati God alias Kaliya Bai, wife of late Shyamlal God, age about 58 years, resident of Chandastola Anuppur, who had built a hut and was working as a watchman in the under construction house of Triveni Jaiswal near the incident spot. During interrogation by women police, she revealed the name of her sister's son Golu God, father of late. Shyamlal God, aged about 21 years, resident of Chandastola, and his companion entered a closed house at night and helped them by staying around the house while stealing. After stealing from a woman Kalavati God, two pairs of silver anklets, a pair of silver anklets, four pieces of silver bangles were seized and he was arrested. In this case, different police teams have been sent to possible places to arrest the main accused Golu God and his companion. Superintendent of Police Anuppur Shri Moti Ur Rehman has announced to reward Assistant Sub Inspector Surendra Pratap Singh, Assistant Sub Inspector Sukhi Nand Yadav, Head Constable Rajesh Kanwar, Ritesh Singh, Constable Prakash Tiwari, Female Head Constable Jaya Singh, Female Constable Jyoti Dharve, Female Constable Usha Singh along with TI Kotwali Arvind Jain for promptly revealing the theft.
