Merta Road (Rajasthan), Common people are troubled by haphazardly parked vehicles and poor traffic system in front of the main Sadar Bazar, bus stand State Bank of India, Nagaur Road and Bank of Baroda in Merta Road town. Due to frequent traffic jams in the main Sadar Bazar, pedestrians and drivers have to face problems, but the responsible officers do not seem to pay attention to this problem. Occasionally, the police administration reaches the market as a formality and fixes the arrangements for some time, but after a while the situation becomes the same.
On Friday also, there was a jam on the main Nagaur Road for about an hour. During this time, long queues of buses and other vehicles were formed. Due to the jam, it became difficult for pedestrians to pass through. On the other hand, the residents and common people are facing a lot of problems due to haphazardly parked vehicles on both sides of the road in front of the State Bank of India. Local people told that a place has been made for parking vehicles in front of the State Bank of India, but the bank administration has installed its generator set at the said place, due to which all the customers coming to the bank park their vehicles haphazardly on both sides of the road, the brunt of which is faced by the general public. The problem of haphazardly parked vehicles in the town is discussed many times in the CLG meeting at the local police station and the local police administration here has also taken action against such vehicles, but the spirits of the drivers are so high that they park their vehicles wherever they want.
Haphazardly parked vehicles and temporary carts are the cause of the problem
According to the information, due to the absence of any permanent place for parking in the town, people park their two-wheelers including big vehicles haphazardly everywhere, due to which there is a situation of frequent jam in the town. Also, the temporary vegetable carts near the temporary bus stand also cause traffic problems. Due to which, traffic jams remain throughout the day.
Issue raised in CLG meeting
The issue of improving traffic system is raised every time in the CLG meeting held in the police station. The CLG members including the traders raise the issue of streamlining the traffic system in the market. Social organizations have also given memorandums to the higher officials many times demanding improvement in the traffic system, but still the result remains the same.
They say
Police personnel are deployed in the market and efforts are being made to improve the traffic system. Efforts will be made to improve the arrangements by talking to the traders.
