Patna, there is good news for the youth of Bihar, candidates who want to prepare for UPSC and BPSC exams. But, are not able to fulfill their dreams due to financial constraints. They can take advantage of this scheme. For this, candidates have to apply through the official website (state.bihar.gov.in).

Under this scheme, students will also be given monthly financial assistance and other facilities. Local students attending coaching classes will be given a monthly stipend of Rs 1500 per student, while outstation students will be given a monthly stipend of Rs 3000. The stipend will be given for the duration of the course or for one year, whichever is less. The stipend will be given to each student directly by the Ministry through DBT.

Who can apply?

Only those candidates can avail the benefits of this scheme, who are permanent residents of the state of Bihar and the applicant should be a member of the Backward Class or Extremely Backward Class. Also, the annual income of their parents should not exceed Rs 3,00,000 and candidates should have the minimum educational qualification to prepare for the respective exam.

Exam Date
The tentative date of the entrance exam for this is 16 February 2025. 40 percent seats for free UPSC coaching are estimated for backward classes and 60 percent seats for extremely backward classes.

Out of the total selected students, 40% of the students will be selected for competitive examinations with class 12th eligibility (like NEET, JEE, CLAT etc.), while the remaining 60% students will be selected for competitive examinations with graduation eligibility (CAT, Civil Services Exam etc.).
Objective of the Scheme
The objective of this scheme is to provide good coaching quality to DNT candidates so that they can appear in competitive examinations and succeed in getting suitable jobs in public/private sector.
