Bhopal, The birth anniversary of former Chief Minister and senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader Kailash Joshi was celebrated with great pomp in the Madhya Pradesh Assembly premises on Tuesday. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, Assembly Speaker Narendra Singh Tomar, Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Prahlad Singh Patel, Kailash Joshi's son and former minister Deepak Joshi, senior BJP officials, Bhopal District BJP officials, Mahila Morcha workers, and a large number of BJP workers were present on the occasion. Everyone paid tribute to Kailash Joshi by offering flowers at his statue and remembering his ideals. Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that Kailash Joshi's life was a remarkable example of simplicity, honesty, and public service. He never used politics as a means to attain power, but instead considered it a mission to serve society and the state. His public life is an inspiration for generations to come. Kailash Joshi, whose extraordinary political journey began from a humble family, was born on July 14, 1929, in Hatpipliya (present-day Dewas district) in the then Bhopal State. This is considered his ancestral and birthplace. After his early education, he began an active participation in social work. He joined the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and later entered active politics through the Bharatiya Jana Sangh. He worked extensively across villages to expand the organization and played a key role in connecting workers. Kailash Joshi was considered one of the founding leaders of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh. During the Jana Sangh era, he strengthened the organization across the state. He became the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh in the Janata Party government formed after the Emergency ended in 1977. His tenure as Chief Minister was relatively short, but his clean image and administrative skills were recognized. Transparency is still discussed today. After the dissolution of the Janata Party, he played a key role in the formation of the Bharatiya Janata Party. He was elected several times as an MLA and later represented the people as a Lok Sabha member. He always prioritized discipline and ethical politics at both the organizational and government levels. Kailash Joshi was known as the "saint politician" in Indian politics. Despite being the Chief Minister, he lived a very simple life. He lived among the common people without any ostentation and listened directly to their problems. Even his political opponents respected his honesty and straightforward nature. Kailash Joshi strived to strengthen the concept of good governance, transparent administration, and rural development in the state. He prioritized issues related to farmers, rural areas, and ordinary citizens. His contributions are considered significant in increasing administrative accountability, strengthening communication between public representatives and the public, and strengthening democratic values. He also played a crucial role in the organizational expansion of the BJP, which subsequently provided a strong base for the party in Madhya Pradesh. Even as he advanced in age, Kailash Joshi did not completely withdraw from public life. He continued to participate in organizational and social programs from time to time and continued to guide young leaders. He passed away on November 24, 2019. He passed away. With his demise, Madhya Pradesh politics lost a public leader who was known more for his personality and principles than for his position. Leaders present at the birth anniversary programme organised in the Vidhan Sabha said that Kailash Joshi's life is an ideal of honesty, service and dedication in public life. All the speakers including Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav reiterated their resolve to follow the path shown by him. Remembering his father in the programme, Deepak Joshi said that his entire life was dedicated to serving the people and protecting moral values. Senior BJP leaders, public representatives, Mahila Morcha workers and a large number of party workers participated in the function. All of them unanimously said that Kailash Joshi's personality and his ideals will always remain an inspiration for the politics of Madhya Pradesh.
